MEDIA RELEASE August 20, 2015 Devil of time but Tassie’s Birtwhistle ready to step up in Stockholm Tasmanian triathlete Jake Birtwhistle has certainly experienced the ups and downs of his first year on the ITU World Triathlon Series which continues in Stockholm this weekend. The 20-year-old from Launceston is one of 10 Australians who will line up in the Swedish capital for the eighth race of the 10-round Series which will travel to Edmonton (September 5-6) and conclude for 2015 in Chicago for the Grand Final (September 15-19). Rio bound Aaron Royle heads 10-strong Elite World Championship Team for Chicago standard

MEDIA RELEASE August 19, 2015 Rio bound Aaron Royle heads 10-strong Elite World Championship Team for Chicago Aaron Royle, triathlon’s first Olympic nomination for Rio, will be joined by established Olympians Erin Densham, Emma Moffatt, Emma Jackson and Courtney Atkinson in Australia’s ITU World Championship team in Chicago next month. Royle is amongst a 10-strong Elite team and five in the Under 23s who will join the already selected six-member Junior team for the Chicago Worlds between September 16 and 20. The 25-year-old from Newcastle finished sixth in the Olympic Test Event in Rio at the start of the month to earn his automatic nomination onto his first Olympic Team. Triathlon Australia launches 2015-2016 National Calendar Triathlon Australia has launched its Australian National Calendar website featuring events from up coming ITU World Championships to its extensive schedule of National multisport events over what will be an action packed 18 months of racing.
